A quick ID check earns you a verified badge and builds trust with the community.
Trade Up uses a quick ID check (powered by Didit) so the community knows who they're dealing with. During onboarding, tap Verify ID, then upload a photo of your government-issued ID or passport.
Your ID stays private
When you're verified, you'll earn a verified badge on your profile. Your ID is encrypted and never shared with other users.
Verification is optional to start, but verified members are more trusted and tend to get more offers.
