How do trades work on Trade Up?
Browse or list an item, then make an offer — cash, a trade, or a mix of both — or Buy Now at the asking price. Your payment is held securely, the seller ships or you meet up, and the money is released once you confirm you got your item. For shipped orders you get a 3-day window to check it first.

When you pay, your card is authorized and the funds are held — you're not charged until you confirm you received the item, or the 3-day window auto-releases. Your money isn't gone until you have your item.
