The service fee and Buyer Protection
A 3.5% buyer fee, 0% for sellers, and optional Buyer Protection.
Trade Up charges buyers a 3.5% service fee on the item amount (not on shipping) — you'll see it itemized at checkout. Sellers pay no fee. On shipped orders you can also add optional Buyer Protection: $0.99 for items under $20, or $2.99 for items $20 and up.
